Professional Experience
Meet Joseph Lane Weigel, Criminal Defense Attorney at Hirsch Law Group. A graduate of Michigan State University College of Law, Joseph began his legal career in 2022 after gaining early courtroom experience at the Rock Island County State’s Attorney’s Office, where he prosecuted traffic and misdemeanor cases under his Illinois 711 license.
Following law school, Joseph expanded his practice to include a broad range of legal matters, from criminal defense and personal injury to estate planning, probate, business transactions, landlord/tenant disputes, and civil litigation. Over the past two years, he concentrated on personal injury litigation—holding insurance companies accountable and advocating for individuals who needed a strong voice.
Now, Joseph has returned to his first professional passion: criminal defense. With a diverse legal background and a steadfast commitment to protecting his clients’ rights, he approaches every case with strategic insight, attention to detail, and unwavering dedication.
