Michelle McClellan is a graduate of Loyola University Law School and has worked in criminal defense throughout the entirety of her career. After passing the bar exam, she accepted a position at a private criminal defense firm where she worked as a law clerk throughout her time in law school. Prior to joining the defense field, she worked at the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office, where she gained valuable insight into the world of prosecution. Before attending law school, she earned her bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and Criminology. She has worked for the U.S. Marshals Service and the Chicago Police Department, both of which allowed her to gain a deeper understanding of law enforcement procedures and techniques. During law school, Michelle participated in an externship program at a nonprofit legal organization, assisting underprivileged clients with expunging their criminal records. She has since gained extensive experience with expungements, sealings, and pardons. Michelle has worked on numerous state and federal cases, including recently being appointed as one of the lead attorneys in a high-profile federal RICO murder case. Her wealth of experience in this field along with her diverse background provide a unique perspective, which serves as a valuable advantage to successfully defending her clients.
