Professional Experience

I have been an attorney for just over twenty years, all spent practicing criminal law. The first thirteen years of my career were spent as an Assistant State’s Attorney in the Cook County State’s Attorney’s office. During my years as a prosecutor, I became familiar not only with how the criminal justice system operates, but also how police departments, and the police themselves, operate. This knowledge has served me well in the seven years since that I have been defending clients charged with crimes from speeding to murder. During my career, I have tried hundreds of cases, both in front of judges and juries, and have litigated many, many motions defending my clients’ Constitutional rights. I have gained acquittals for my clients in such cases as driving under the influence of alcohol, firearms offenses, drug offenses, and others. I was born and raised in Chicago and still reside in the city. When I am not working, I enjoy working with animals and foster and volunteer for the Anti-Cruelty Society of Chicago.
